Someone's got a sweet tooth! From the glitter-dusted flowers to the (many) cakes, a glimpse inside Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' Martha Stewart-styled wedding

As two of Hollywood's biggest stars, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had their pick of celebrity wedding planners. But the couple went one-up for their September nuptials, and had friend and neighbor Martha Stewart style the top-secret event in Charleston, South Carolina. In the first pictures from the newlyweds' big day, photographed, naturally, by Martha Stewart Weddings, we see the lifestyle doyenne's stunning attention to detail.

From the bouquet dusted in rose gold glitter to co-ordinate with the embellishment on Blake's couture Marchesa gown, to the lavish display of cakes served to the 35 guests afterwards, everything was flawlessly considered.

There is, so far, just one photo of Blake, 25, and Ryan, 36, holding hands for the first time as husband and wife. We do not see their faces, but we do get a glimpse of the bride's full-skirted, embellished gown, designed by her friends Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig who helm Marchesa. The groom, 36, wore a Burberry suit with custom leather suspenders. Martha Stewart Weddings' style director Kate Berry created Blake's shimmering bouquet of pink jasmine, andromeda, dusty miller, and blushing bride hydrangea, with select petals dusted in glitter. After the ceremony, at Boone Hall Plantation, Martha, 71, and her team, made sure the couple and their guests were catered in sumptuous style. Blake had envisioned an abundant dessert table overflowing with their favorite treats, the magazine reveals - and the reality didn't disappoint. The focal point was a vanilla-and-sour-cream wedding cake with peach-apricot preserves and Earl Grey-milk chocolate buttercream made by Maggie Austin Cake in Alexandria, Virginia. Displayed around it were s'mores, coffee-and-cream espresso beans, mini blueberry cheescakes tartlets and lemon meringue pies, as well as fruit jellies and mini strawberry shortcakes.

Martha called Blake a 'very gorgeous' bride, adding that Ryan was 'a very gorgeous groom'. She said they all 'hang out'.
She added that they are 'the nicest couple and very, very modest and nice, contrary to the parts they play.' The Martha Stewart Weddings website stated it was the pair's 'sole wish to have an intimate affair', adding: 'They wanted to celebrate in privacy—and in style.

The site added: 'When Ryan and Blake secretly got engaged last June, they knew it would take careful planning, confidentiality, and a select crew to pull off their nuptials before word got out. Enter Martha Stewart. 'We quickly discovered that Ryan and Blake are not like the many altar-bound celebrities who sell their big-day photos to the highest bidder.' The stars were first photographed as a couple in October 2011, not long after the premiere of their film, Green Lantern. At their wedding, the couple vowed ‘to support and love each other and to make each other laugh.’ The morning after their surprise September 9 nuptials, the couple were pictured sharing a kiss in Charleston – and the bride showed off her stunning pink diamond engagement ring. The ring, by celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, features a large center stone supported by a band of small diamonds. 'Ryan chose Lorraine Schwartz to help him find a flawless, light pink oval diamond,' a spokesperson for the jeweler said 'They worked together to design a custom setting in rose gold and pave diamonds with a nod to [Art] Deco.'

Her rose gold wedding ring, also by Schwartz, boasts a series of delicate diamonds, and complements her engagement sparkler well. In a sweet touch at their wedding, the couple handed out cards with their silhouettes. Ryan had previously been married to Scarlett Johansson, but the couple split in 2010 after just two years of marriage. Their divorce was finalised last summer and Scarlett, 28 , is now dating French magazine editor Romain Dauriac – as revealed by MailOnline.
Gossip GirlLife imitating art: It is not the first time Blake Lively has been pictured in a wedding dress this week. During the final episode of Gossip Girl, her character Serena wed boyfriend Dan in a gold Georges Chakra gown
However, speaking to Vogue in May, the actress admitted: ‘I don't feel on the other side of it completely, but it gets better. ‘It's still there. More than anything, it's just that not having your buddy around all the time is weird. There's no rule book. I think it's just time.’

Speaking about her marriage, she added: ‘We always kept our story private — how we met, our wedding, everything… It was about up. She called their split ‘horrible’, adding: ‘Of course it’s horrible. It was devastating. It really throws you. You think that your life is going to be one way, and then, for various reasons or whatever, it doesn’t work out. ‘This was something I never thought I would be doing," she continues. "And there’s no way to navigate it. Nobody can give you the right answer. It’s never anything you want to hear. It's a very lonely thing. It's like the loneliest thing you’ll ever do, in some way.’ Despite the pain, Scarlett said she had no regrets, adding: ‘It was a beautiful thing -- the falling in love and getting married and making that commitment… I think it's nice to know that you're capable of loving somebody in that way. I think it's a rare opportunity.’ It is not the first time Blake Lively has been pictured in a wedding dress this week. During the final episode of her TV hit Gossip Girl, her character Serena wed long-time boyfriend Dan while wearing a gold Georges Chakra gown.
